Job Description: Odoo Developer (Specialist in Jasper Reports & OWL)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Odoo Developer with expertise in Jasper Reports and Odoo Web Library (OWL) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom reports and front-end components in Odoo. This role requires a strong understanding of Odoo’s backend and frontend, along with experience in report generation and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Jasper Reports Development:
Design and develop custom reports using JasperReports in Odoo.
Integrate JasperReports with Odoo modules and database models.
Optimize report performance and troubleshoot any issues.
Work with iReport Designer or Jaspersoft Studio for report design.
2. OWL (Odoo Web Library) Development:
Develop dynamic and interactive UI components using OWL (Odoo’s JavaScript framework).
Customize Odoo’s frontend views and implement modern UI enhancements.
Ensure seamless integration of OWL components with Odoo models and backend logic.
Optimize performance and responsiveness of OWL-based components.
3. Odoo Development & Customization:
Customize Odoo modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, etc.) to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain Python-based Odoo applications and extensions.
Work with Odoo ORM and PostgreSQL for backend development.
Implement security, access control, and API integrations.
4. Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements.
Collaborate with other developers and teams to ensure smooth integration.
Provide documentation, training, and technical support for developed solutions.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Odoo Development (Python, Odoo ORM, XML).
Experience in JasperReports (iReport Designer, Jaspersoft Studio).
Strong knowledge of OWL (Odoo Web Library) and JavaScript (ES6+).
Familiarity with QWeb, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and XML templates.
Understanding of REST APIs and Odoo RPC calls.
Experience with PostgreSQL database management.
Knowledge of Odoo performance optimization and debugging.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Odoo development.
Prior experience with Odoo 15+ versions is a plus.
Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
